  • Leads meaningful conversations and engagement with users, stakeholders, and Council management teams.
  • Monitors benefits and reports on resource issues as required.
  • Supports and oversees the work of Assistants where appropriate.

  • A results-driven, innovative, and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience supporting corporate change initiatives using structured methodologies, including benefit identification, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Interview Presentation

As part of your interview, you will be asked to deliver a 10-minute presentation on the topic: “Redesigning a Public Service Using Lean and User-Centred Design.”

In your presentation, please describe a project where you applied user-centred design and Lean principles in approaches to improve or redesign a public service. Highlight the context and challenges, the tools and methodologies you used (such as process mapping, user research, or the Scottish Approach to Service Design), and how these helped you meet user needs and deliver measurable improvements. The panel will be particularly interested in how you engaged stakeholders, overcame obstacles, and evaluated the impact of your work.

We are currently shaping our future workstyles with homeworking. We are working to introduce a blended approach that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
