Catford, LondonRate:£40.99/hour PAYE or £54.14/hour via UmbrellaRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Corporate Health & Safety Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic and comprehensive occupational health, safety, and well-being service. You will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and provide expert advice to senior leaders, managers, and staff across the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement corporate health, safety, and well-being strategies.Lead a team delivering health and safety, fire safety, and occupational health services.Advise senior management on compliance and best practices.Monitor and review health and safety performance, policies, and procedures.Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements across all properties and services.Provide training and support to staff and managers.Liaise with external bodies including the HSE and emergency services.Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership and stakeholders.Represent the organisation at internal and external meetings.Management DutiesLead and develop a team of four health and safety professionals.Manage budgets and resources effectively.Act as the business unit manager for the Corporate Health and Safety team.Person SpecificationKnowledge & Skills:Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and codes of practice.Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.Ability to influence and support change across a complex organisation.Experience:Proven track record in a senior health and safety role.Experience in managing teams and delivering strategic initiatives.Familiarity with public sector or large organisational environments.Qualifications:NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.Chartered Membership of IOSH (or working towards).Evidence of continuous professional development.Personal Attributes:Committed to service improvement and professional standards.Collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused.Able to work flexibly and attend occasional evening meetings.TPBN1_UKTJ
