A local government council in Wrexham is seeking a Corporate Health & Safety Lead to manage the Health and Safety team across the organisation. You will champion compliance, liaise with the Health and Safety Executive, and engage with teams to promote Health and Safety responsibilities. A CMIOSH and NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is required, along with experience in the public sector. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

In leading and managing the Health and Safety team, you will champion and model positive practices and improvements, identify and advise on best practice in Health and Safety, and consider the impact of changes in the Council’s delivery of services to ensure that the Council remains compliant and manages its responsibilities and obligations. You will act as point of contact for liaison with the Health and Safety Executive.
The successful applicant will be based within the Health and Safety Team in Wrexham City Centre with travel to other locations as necessary.
