We’re looking for a Corporate Governance Trainee based at our head office in York. Reporting to the Deputy Company Secretary, you will help to maintain an efficient and professional governance function across the Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate, or someone who is seeking their first governance role, to begin a governance career within a FTSE company. The role offers exposure to Board and Committee processes, listed company regulation and senior stakeholders, while providing practical experience with full study support towards the Chartered Governance Institute qualification. Successful candidates will be supported in developing the skills and experience required to progress towards more senior governance roles as their responsibilities develop.
The role would be ideal for an individual with a genuine interest in how companies are governed and how Boards make decisions, who is keen to develop a long-term career in corporate governance. Whilst this is an entry-level role, it is a position requiring professionalism, discretion, attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
