About the role

Our Corporate Governance Assistant vacancy offers you a fantastic chance to work within Corporate Services to deliver a comprehensive, high quality and confidential governance service to the Board and wider organisation. Within your role as our Corporate Governance Assistant, you will:
  • Develop positive and effective relationships with Board Members, the Executive, and colleagues through collaborative working, providing advice, support and guidance.
  • Be a point of contact for Board and Committee members, establishing yourself as a confident, trusted, and respected member of the team.
  • Plan, schedule and support the Board and Committee meetings cycle, including the preparation of meeting packs and minutes to the highest quality.
  • Consider governance issues fully, ensuring service and regulatory standards are met.
  • Support the Corporate Governance and Compliance Manager to deliver all aspects of governance within the business.

About you

Do you have an organised, systematic approach to delivering a high-quality service and a knowledge of governance and processes?

To be considered for our Corporate Governance Assistant you will need to be able to demonstrate:
  • Strong verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High organisational and time management skills with an attention for detail.
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities in order to anticipate busy periods.
  • Flexibility, including working outside normal working hours to attend and facilitate meetings.
  • Be comfortable in formal meetings

Please note that as part of the role you will be expected to attend Board and Committee meetings regularly outside of normal working hours.
