We make health happen

At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives – and make a better world. With no shareholders, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. That means we invest in what matters most: our people, our technology, and our purpose.

We’re looking for a Corporate Governance Advisor to join our Group Corporate Governance (GCG) function. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a team that plays a vital role in helping Bupa maintain high standards of governance across our global business.

You’ll work closely with our Corporate Governance Managers and Assistants, supporting a wide range of governance and company secretarial activities. From reviewing statutory compliance to helping shape our risk management processes, your work will help ensure we continue to meet legal and regulatory requirements while supporting our purpose: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.

How you’ll help us make health happen

As a Corporate Governance Advisor, you’ll:

  • Support the Corporate Governance Managers with their Market Unit portfolios.
  • Draft governance documents and meeting minutes and oversee the work of Corporate Governance Assistants.
  • Review and maintain accurate records in Diligent Entities.
  • Manage statutory compliance and company secretarial tasks for Bupa and its subsidiaries.
  • Help to maintain and improve our risk management and control processes.
  • Keep an eye on legal and regulatory developments and support research and analysis.
  • Support members of the team with ad hoc governance projects, including new technologies and ways of working.
What you'll bring

We’re after someone who’s confident, collaborative and detail-focused. You’ll need:

  • A relevant qualification — ideally a Chartered Governance Institute member
  • Experience in company secretarial or corporate governance compliance
  • Working knowledge of the UK Companies Act
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
Benefits

Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people. Viva is our global wellbeing programme and includes all aspects of our health – from mental and physical, to financial, social and environmental wellbeing. We support flexible working and have a range of family-friendly benefits.

Joining Bupa in this role you will receive the following benefits and more:

  • 25 days holiday, increasing through length of service, with option to buy or sell
  • Bupa health insurance for you and your family
  • Access to our wellbeing programmes and mental health support
  • Bonus scheme
  • Enhanced parental leave
  • Pension scheme
  • Discounts on Bupa products and services
  • Opportunities for career development and internal mobility
