As part of our Business Development (BD) Hub team you’ll be responsible for managing our new customer pipeline, ensuring new leads are appropriately prioritised and keeping a high focus on converting the existing pipeline into successful outcomes.
This will require liaising with corporate and commercial bankers, customer onboarding teams, and various internal stakeholders.
This role will see you gain great exposure to the wider Global FX Sales business and other Trading & Sales teams within NatWest Markets.
What you'll do
In this key role, you’ll work as part of a sales team highly valued by our customers, to support the continued growth of our UK Commercial & Corporate FX Sales business, with a clear focus on supporting the BD Hub team to onboard new customers. The role will be our front line to the BD Hub, and you’ll need to work closely with the team to manage capacity levels.
You’ll also:
Understand existing processes and propose areas where things can be improved or made more efficient.
Identify, cross-sell, and up-sell opportunities to drive FX revenues, including the identification of potential FX option and digital opportunities.
Drive and deliver increased efficiencies in the identification, processing, and conversion of new leads and both internal and external engagement.
Collaborate internally and externally with the community to ensure a clear customer contact strategy is in place with a strong focus on acquiring, growing, and retaining quality customer relationships.
The skills you'll need
We’re on the lookout for someone with great verbal communication skills, and ideally a track record of having helped customers by identifying their needs and providing relevant and appropriate solutions within a banking role or a sales role more broadly, such as retail sales. You’ll demonstrate a good understanding and interest in banking and financial markets.
You’ll also need:
Clear organisation and administrative skills, including the ability to successfully prioritise.
Demonstrable technical skills with the ability to understand and learn about complex products, and specifically the benefits and risks associated with them.
A good understanding of NatWest Market’s currencies proposition and why UK commercial and corporate companies require FX products and services.
