Job Description:

Our client is a PE-backed Telecommunications Infrastructure business that has been highly acquisitive and is now seeking an exceptional FP&A professional with a background in M&A, to help create a world-class planning and analysis capability.

The Head of FP&A will be responsible for driving strategic financial initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the company’s financial health and growth. This role is key in shaping business strategy by providing critical insights, accurate financial forecasts, and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the financial planning and forecasting, including long-term strategic planning, for the Group.
  • Owning the group valuation model, including scenario modeling, sensitivities, and highlighting financial risks and opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supporting the Group Finance Director and/or Group CFO with major financing events (debt and equity raising and refinancing).
  • Providing predictive analytics and driver-based planning to optimize business outcomes.
  • Owning the group’s annual budgeting process and implementing continuous budgeting cycles with rolling forecasts (P&L, BS, & CF).
  • Owning the quarterly group reforecast process.
  • Creating analysis and presenting budgets and forecasts to the Group Finance Director and/or Group CFO.
  • Creating, monitoring, and presenting 13-week rolling short-term cash flow forecasts for the group.
  • Conducting profitability analysis to evaluate regions, business units, products, and services.
  • Providing insights on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure.

The ideal candidate will have developed exceptional modeling and analysis capabilities in a Corporate Finance / M&A or Transaction Services environment and will have owned and developed a corporate FP&A function. You should be comfortable operating in an environment with minimal existing structure or process and relish the opportunity to be hands-on and creative!
