Corporate Finance Business Partner (Band 7)

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is a forward looking dynamic well managed organisation. Airedale is located close to Skipton and is regarded as a very pleasant place to work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Finance Business Partner to join our financial management team. Working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner this is a role which is focused on delivering high quality finance, planning and external reporting information to support the heads of department by providing financial information, expert analysis and advice, to enable them to meet their financial targets and key commitments.

Based in the finance department within the hospital, the team work closely with operational colleagues to support robust financial management and control. The role advertised is vital in ensuring robust, accurate and timely internal and external reporting.

The post holder will have a key role in ensuring the effective use of resources through providing high quality financial information, advice and support. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual with a real commitment to excellent service delivery and great communication skills.

Whilst the post requires a fully qualified accountant, depending on the level of response, we may consider applications from candidates who are actively studying at the final level of a CCAB or AICPA qualification

Main duties of the job

Production of timely Corporate financial reports for Division to use internally and for the production of statutory annual returns, ensuring work is completed to timescale/legal requirements.

Analyse and monitor budgets, run rate and forecast information providing expert financial advice, (liaising with outside bodies and other NHS organisations as appropriate), interpreting outcomes and suggesting corrective actions.

Act as expert contact for ward/department managers to investigate issues arising from budget statements, analysing complex and potentially sensitive information and forecasting trends with the ability to convey financial and corporate issues to non-finance professionals.

Plan processes and procedures to meet current and future needs, implementing new procedures and systems and developing policies as required

Produce the Division's Board report, ensuring key metrics support business decision making and represent finance at Divisional meetings; presenting finance update and expert advice

Support strategic decision making by analysing changes to service delivery, or external changes, forecasting the financial impact

Lead on financial planning for Division, ensuring budget fits with operational plans and that budget setting process is adhered to, including accurate upload of budgets into the General Ledger

Lead on the development of Waste Reduction planning, providing robust support and advice in order to ensure efficiencies are implemented and developed
