Job Description:

More than you expect

Grant Thornton UK LLP is part of a global network of independent audit, tax, and advisory firms with approximately 58,000 employees in over 135 countries. We are a team of independent thinkers committed to quality, inclusion, and integrity. Our global presence allows us to bring diverse experiences to our clients—delivering expertise that is personal, proactive, and agile.

Our Corporate Finance Advisory team is highly successful, completing 258 deals worth £15.4bn in 2024, and was named the No. 1 M&A Advisor in the UK by Pitchbook. We consist of around 135 advisors across the UK, combining strong regional presence and sector expertise with our international network and additional routes for Debt Advisory and Public Company Advisory.

We work with midmarket companies on growth and exit strategies, building trusted relationships and helping clients identify suitable transactions for growth—be it through private equity, debt funding, exit, succession planning, or flotation in public markets.

In this role, you will support deal teams in preparing and executing business sales, negotiating transactions, and employing your financial and negotiation skills to complete deals. You will also be part of a collaborative team that values working together and celebrating successes.

New ground won’t break itself.

Every day, our teams help businesses and communities do what’s right and achieve their goals. We believe we can make a meaningful economic impact by providing diverse organizations with strategic business and financial advice, empowering clients to make significant decisions and unlock sustainable growth. We focus on quality and integrity to help businesses, communities, and our people flourish.

We support flexible working arrangements—including reduced hours and job shares—to help balance work and life.

As an Assistant Manager or Manager in our Corporate Finance team, you will:

  • Support transaction execution and contribute across multiple projects.
  • Make a significant impact on clients and the firm, upholding high standards and quality.

  • Assist in analyzing financial and commercial data for transactions.
  • Draft information memoranda and marketing materials for sale processes.
  • Prepare client presentations and pitch documents.
  • Assist in company valuation using public comparisons, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow methods.
  • Work closely with sector teams to develop industry-specific expertise.
  • Develop your skills and support others’ development with your manager’s guidance.
