Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

Location: Guildford, Hybrid – 3 days in the office

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to support their ambitious growth plans. What You’ll Do:

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager to provide financial modelling expertise and data-driven insights to support business growth. This hands-on role will involve managing long-term financial models, supporting acquisitions, and assessing new business opportunities that drive value.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling & Analysis:

  • Build, update, and maintain financial models for transactions, fundraises, and acquisitions.
  • Develop financial models for new plant and plant upgrade opportunities.
  • Support due diligence for new acquisitions, collaborating with internal teams and external advisors.

Business Development & Commercial Finance:

  • Provide financial analysis to assess new revenue streams and commercial opportunities.
  • Assist in evaluating and modelling new business ventures to add value to existing assets.
  • Support commercial tender processes, ensuring financial feasibility.

Corporate Finance & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with finance, technical, and operations teams to ensure financial models align with strategic decisions.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry policies and regulatory changes that could impact growth.

What You Bring:

  • Advanced Excel skills – comfortable working with complex financial models and large datasets.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or renewables.
  • A strong understanding of M&A and financial modelling for infrastructure projects.
  • Degree in finance, economics, or accounting with relevant PQE.
  • Knowledge of renewables or biofuels is a plus, but we will consider financial expertise from other sectors.
  • A commercial mindset with a focus on driving growth and impact.
