About the Candidate

We are seeking a Corporate Events and Alumni Coordinator who embodies our core values of Courage, Authenticity, Respect, and Excellence in every interaction. The ideal candidate is a dynamic relationship-builder with strong interpersonal and listening skills, capable of engaging a diverse range of stakeholders—from corporate partners to alumni—with professionalism and warmth.

You’ll need the ability to convey information clearly, manage multiple priorities with a solution-focused mindset, and bring creativity and precision to event planning and alumni engagement initiatives.

About the Role

Our award-winning and dynamic Marketing and Engagement team plays a crucial role in driving student recruitment and boosting the group’s reputation as an outstanding education provider in the region. The team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including marketing, communications, events, student recruitment, admissions, information services, market insights and more. We provide an outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders including prospective students, their parents/carers, stakeholders and our community. Recruiting thousands of students each year, we enhance the student journey by creating impactful campaigns, leveraging marketing tools, embracing new trends, harnessing data-driven analytics, and organising a calendar of events which showcase the very best our colleges have to offer.

The Corporate Events and Alumni Co-ordinator is responsible for the planning, development, and delivery of a dynamic programme of corporate events and alumni relations initiatives that reflect and advance the mission and brand of Education Partnership North East. This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing stakeholder engagement, strengthening external partnerships, and building a thriving alumni community. Working closely with the VP and Head of Communications, the post holder will work collaboratively across the organisation, lead on corporate event management, alumni engagement strategies, and contribute to EPNE’s wider communications and partnership objectives.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver a corporate events plan aligned with EPNE's strategic priorities
  • Plan, co-ordinate and execute high-profile events such as VIP visits, awards events and senior briefings
  • Lead the development and implementation of an alumni engagement framework across EPNE colleges
  • Develop campaigns and communications to reconnect with former students, showcasing alumni achievements to inspire current learners and support institutional goals
  • As part of a small communications team, support with internal and external communications activity as required
