Air Charter Service are the number one aviation broker globally, having started in the basement of our Chairman’s home, we now employ over 600 people across the globe providing tailored brokering services to our Cargo, Commercial and Private Jet customers.

We have an exciting opportunity based in our HQ for a Corporate, Environmental & Social Responsibility Manager. The role is instrumental in embedding social responsibility in the core of how we operate ensuring we continue to give a positive impact on the environment, our chosen charities and our people!



Job Description

This role is responsible for leading and developing our CESR initiatives with prime focuses on:

  1. Environment
  2. Charity & Community
  3. Our People

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with HR to integrate company values into culture, management and decision-making
  • Recommend initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing
  • Oversee ACS’s carbon neutral operations and manage carbon offsetting initiatives
  • Chair the LON Diversity Committee, promoting inclusion and tracking progress with data
  • Oversee the Americas Diversity & Inclusion Committee and propose global committee rollouts
  • Build strong relationships with charity partners & drive employee engagement with charity initiatives
  • Manage charity budgets with Finance and support local communities through Giving Back Days
  • Compile and report Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data for financial and ESG reporting
  • Lead environmental projects and committees, including solar panels and single-use plastics initiatives
  • Develop and chair global environmental, diversity, and charity committees
  • Collaborate with sales to offer carbon offset options for clients' aircraft charters
  • Create the annual ACS CESR policy and work on tender submissions for new business
  • Stay updated on legislative changes affecting CESR and use data to track progress
  • Lead initiatives that positively impact people, the environment, and the community
  • Collaborate with HR and Marketing to communicate CESR commitments internally and externally

Qualifications

  • MUST have extensive previous experience in a sustainability, environmental or social governance position for a sales organisation.
  • Self motivated and driven, but creative and organised
  • Must have a passion for the synergy between a happy growth focused company engaged in its community & environment, and that companies innovative place in their industry
  • Degree in social impact, environmental science, sustainability or related disciplines is an advantage
  • Previous experience working closely with senior Board level stakeholders to conduct in-depth research for CESR and ESG policies practices and objectives, identifying CESR risks and opportunities in line with stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills – must be comfortable communicating with and motivating internal voluntary teams of employees
  • Experienced in project management from strategy, through proposal stage to execution
  • Experienced in preparing and managing ESG CESR related disclosures and creating impact reports and company policies
  • Commercial acumen and ability to link CESR and Sustainability performance to company performance and business development
  • Extremely organised with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly motivated with a high sense of urgency
  • Confident when working with contractors

Additional Information

This position is based at our HQ in Surbiton, working hours are 0900-1730
