Job description

SSQ has partnered with a leading UK law firm in our search for an M&A associate (2–6 PQE) to join their market-leading energy and infrastructure M&A team in London.

What you can expect:

The role is part of a truly international practice group and offers exposure to a diverse range of projects, spanning M&A deals, green energy initiatives, and strategic reviews. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, dynamic transactions within the energy industry. Some of the projects you could expect to advise on include:

  • Carbon capture projects in the Middle East
  • Joint ventures within the UK hydrogen development sector
  • Offshore wind development projects in the North Sea
  • International investment fund acquisitions in the renewable energy sector
  • Investments by international development banks into Eastern Europe and Africa

What we are looking for:

  • England and Wales qualified solicitor
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience at a reputed international or local law firm
  • London market experience
  • Experience working on international M&A, joint venture, or private equity deals
  • A genuine passion for the energy sector
  • The right to work and live in the United Kingdom
