About the role

Accelerate your career by joining Okta as a Corporate Counsel, Partners & Alliances. Support our high-growth, publicly traded tech company’s channel partner organization, providing legal guidance, structuring deals, and negotiating global channel agreements with leading partners worldwide.

This role is remote, reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, Partners & Alliances. Benefits include remote office setup, competitive salary, equity, and flexible time off. We foster personal growth, professional development, and a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate channel agreements including distribution, reseller, services, referral, MSP, SOWs, and NDAs.
  • Support channel sales and leadership domestically and internationally, helping implement scalable legal support aligned with strategic growth.
  • Contribute to legal projects and update global partner agreements and templates.
  • Collaborate with revenue, security, sales, and tech teams to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Advise business stakeholders on legal and strategic issues, building strong relationships across teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in-house experience negotiating enterprise cloud agreements, with knowledge of partner law and competition law across jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and cloud computing concepts.
  • Proven ability to close deals efficiently, working with sales and internal teams within fiscal cycles.
  • Strong academic background, bar admission or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of anti-competition, distribution, agency, GDPR, revenue recognition, and SOX compliance.
  • Leadership, decisiveness, and strong influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and communicate clearly.
  • Responsive, business-minded, and collaborative attitude.

Preferred skills

  • Experience with cross-border transactions, IP issues, APJ laws, or supporting global sales teams.
