Snowflake is looking for a resourceful and pragmatic problem solver to join our world-class legal team, reporting to the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel – Technology Transactions and Alliances. You will be drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements and supporting programs, products, and initiatives that further strategic company objectives. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on cutting edge issues in an exciting environment. This role is an in-person role and can be based in Menlo Park, CA or Dublin, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Structure, negotiate, and close technology transactions of various complexity, working closely with Business Development, Alliances, Sales, and Strategic Sourcing teams

  • Manage partnership, reseller, go to market, or cloud infrastructure programs

  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, tax, product, engineering, security, and compliance, to appropriately manage risk and build processes to foster compliance

  • Provide sound, practical advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues to internal stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
  • JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and ability to practice in California

  • At least 5-7 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a top law firm and in-house experience with SaaS or similar technology companies

  • Strong background in SaaS-centric issues (e.g., data, privacy, security, and intellectual property)

  • Demonstrated business judgment

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to work with all levels across the company

  • Experience working under your own initiative and managing multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to think creatively and be solution-oriented and to press forward in ambiguous situations

  • Willingness and capacity to manage numerous deals, meet tight deadlines, and work extended hours when necessary to complete projects

  • Attitude that no project is too big or too small

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $172,000 - $232,000.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
