Job summary

A leading global engineering firm seeks a Corporate Controller to oversee all accounting and financial functions. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of controlling experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment, and must be CFA qualified. Knowledge of English, German, and Russian is a plus. This role involves minimal travel and offers a generous remuneration package. Candidates must be eligible to relocate to Germany at short notice.

Corporate Controller – Civil Engineering – Dortmund

My client is an engineering and construction giant with a global presence. I have been asked to assist in finding a new Corporate Controller to join the team, due to an internal promotion.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions.
• Supervision of the monthly close process.
• Collection of accounts receivable, supervising accounts payable, payroll, monthly reporting for the owner, monthly preparation of a reforecast, annual preparation of a budget, assist in the preparation of quarterly tax projections
• Implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to create procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience within a heavy manufacturing organisation
• Fluent English, German and Russian would be hugely advantageous
• 4+ years within a controlling function
• My client is specifically looking for someone CFA qualified
• Eligible to move at work in Germany at short notice
