A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Corporate Compliance, Strategic and Governance Executive. This role involves developing corporate strategies, optimizing internal operations, and managing compliance with governance standards. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 5-8 years of experience in corporate systems or process optimization. Mandarin proficiency is essential for collaboration with HQ stakeholders in Shanghai.
We are seeking a highly analytical and forward-thinking Corporate Compliance, Strategic and Governance Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that support the company’s long-term goals, identifying growth opportunities, and enhancing organizational performance.
Company Strategy:
Develop and Drive Company Strategy
Assist senior management in formulating short-term and long-term strategic plans for the company;
Analyse industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations;
Drive the implementation and monitoring of company strategies across various business units.
2. Internal Strategy Management and Process Optimization
Optimize internal operations and policies aimed to improve management efficiency;
Develop and drive corporate culture initiatives and branding strategies;
Organise strategy meetings and execute workshops
Company Governance
Developing and Implementing Corporate Governance Framework and Policies (ESG)
Design and implement the corporate governance framework to ensure the governance structure complies with laws, regulations, and industry standards;
Develop and update corporate governance policies, procedures, and guidelines, conducting regular reviews to ensure their effectiveness;
Ensure the corporate governance structure is clear, with defined roles and responsibilities for the board of directors and management.
2. Compliance Management and Risk Control
Monitor governance practices for compliance, ensuring the company adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
Develop and implement internal control and risk management policies to prevent governance risks;
Conduct regular internal audits and checks of governance practices to ensure compliance and transparency.
3. Monitoring and Reporting
Track and report the effectiveness of corporate governance practices, providing recommendations for improvement;
Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and adjust governance policies and procedures accordingly;
Prepare reports on corporate governance implementation for senior management or the board.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a reputable educational institution, Corporate Secretaries are welcome to apply
Ideally 5 - 8 years relevant working experience in implementing Corporate systems / Strategic Planning / Compliance Management / Process Optimization for Construction-related industries
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and abilities in managing internal/external stakeholders with diverse interests in a dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, problem-solving skills, team player, good organisational skills with business acumen
Ability to converse and write well in Mandarin to support the HQ stakeholders in Shanghai, China
