Corporate Communications Manager
Role Profile
Purpose of Role
As an experienced Corporate Communications Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of strategic communications that support transformation, position ISP as an influential voice in education, and protect and promote the organisation’s reputation.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with our strategic goals. You will take a consultative approach, shaping communication strategies through dialogue with stakeholders and grounding them in insights and data. Your work will foster understanding, engagement, and alignment across varied audiences, each with different needs and expectations.
This role requires a confident communicator with strong writing skills, sound judgment, extensive involvement in change management and the ability to manage communications projects independently from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Change Enablement
- Develop and implement communications strategies that support organisational change, transformation programmes, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis to identify key audiences, understand their needs and perceptions, and tailor messaging accordingly.
- Develop strategic narrative frameworks that clearly communicate the rationale for change, ensure consistent messaging across the organisation, and support behaviour change, adoption, and trust-building among diverse stakeholder groups
- Collaborate with senior leadership and programme teams to ensure timely and transparent communication at every stage of the change journey.
Leadership & Reputation Management
- Support leadership visibility through briefings, authored content and speaking engagements.
- Develop and manage communications that strengthen trust and credibility across internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor reputational risks and contribute to proactive and responsive communication strategies as needed.
Project Delivery & Content Creation
- Deliver communications projects from planning through to execution, ensuring alignment with timelines, tone, and audience expectations.
- Create high-quality content across a range of formats and channels, including communications toolkits, Op-eds and short-form content, intranet articles, videos, presentations, FAQs, and stakeholder updates.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define KPIs and impact metrics for communications activities; track performance and report regularly to senior stakeholders.
- Use insights, feedback, and data to refine messaging and improve communication effectiveness.
- Document and share best practices and develop adaptable templates and toolkits for wider use across the organisation.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic communications for sensitive or high-stakes transformation programmes.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling content for a range of audiences and formats.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including experience managing multiple perspectives and priorities.
- A proactive, consultative approach to communications planning and delivery.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines independently.
- A data-informed mindset, with the ability to evaluate impact and continuously optimise communications.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in a large, complex or matrixed organisation (e.g. higher education, healthcare, government, or multinational).
- Familiarity with internal communications platforms and digital engagement tools.
- Exposure to reputational and issues management is an advantage.
