Job description

Corporate Commercial Solicitor - Somerset

A well-established and highly regarded Somerset practice have a new opening for an experienced corporate commercial solicitor to join their expanding team to handle a wide range of corporate transactions for individuals, partnerships, and companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements (e.g., partnership/shareholders, agency)
  2. Handle changes to company constitutions, share structures, and secretarial tasks
  3. Draft terms and conditions
  4. Oversee sales and purchases (both share and assets), debentures, directors' guarantees, commercial contracts, franchises, joint ventures, and company refinancing
  5. Provide clear, decisive advice to business and private clients
  6. Manage time effectively and ensure client matters progress smoothly
  7. Collaborate with commercial colleagues on projects
  8. Build strong client relationships and market yourself and the firm

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 3+ years PQE and strong technical expertise in corporate commercial matters
  2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Commercially aware and capable of building client relationships and business development
