A small to medium-sized law firm with a fully remote working ethos is seeking a Corporate Commercial Solicitor to join as a consultant on an ongoing basis. The firm, recognized by Legal 500 & Chambers, specializes in the healthcare sector, primarily medical, but the work encompasses general corporate commercial law. Sector-specific experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
This role offers flexible hours, with a focus on providing engaging work within the healthcare industry. Candidates should demonstrate a successful track record, be commercially minded, and ideally have experience from a top-tier law firm or equivalent. Responsibilities include handling NHS and healthcare contracts, establishing provider companies, advising on governance, partnership law, mergers & acquisitions, and NHS regulatory matters. Collaboration with property and employment colleagues on larger transactions is common.
Clients are primarily healthcare professionals such as doctors, dentists, and pharmacists. Sector experience is beneficial but not essential, as the firm provides training on relevant regulations. The role offers excellent administrative support, ongoing training, and the opportunity to expand an existing portfolio of work. This is a long-term engagement, not suitable for short-term consultancy.
Applicants should specify their medical sector experience and indicate their weekly availability, emphasizing hours during standard working times or when they can be contacted by clients. The start date is flexible within the next few months, following onboarding. The firm prefers candidates with at least 10 years PQE, with experience in large corporate or commercial law firms, including training contracts.
