Job Description:

The Client:

A leading investment management firm is seeking an 8+ PQE corporate/commercial lawyer to join their legal team. The role involves working independently on various legal matters across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the lead legal advisor on M&A and integration queries, providing strategic support to senior management on pre- and post-completion/integration M&A issues.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, investment management agreements, licensing agreements, and customer terms and conditions.
3. Identify potential legal risks and offer strategic advice to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
4. Advise on corporate documents such as SPAs and SHAs.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments like product development, marketing, and HR to ensure legal compliance of all business activities.

Qualifications:

1. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of PQE as a corporate and/or commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm or financial services firm.
2. Excellent skills in contract negotiation, analysis, and communication.
3. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
