What you will do:
- Manage an active portfolio of Corporate banking customers and grow the bank through new customer acquisition.
- Develop and implement business plans, responding to risk, market, and regulatory challenges.
- Build and maintain relationships with key market professionals and enhance the bank's brand reputation.
- Manage all aspects of risk, including Credit, Operational, and Regulatory risks.
- Collaborate internally across Metro Bank to ensure a unified approach for customers and colleagues.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on propositions, pricing, risk policies, and reporting.
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members and the wider bank.

What you will need:
- Understanding of job-related risks and their implications for stakeholders.
- Proven relationship management skills and sector knowledge in areas like Hospitality, Leisure, Care, Manufacturing, Professional Services, and trading businesses within corporate banking.
- Strong credit underwriting skills with experience in lending to large SMEs and mid-corporates.
- Comprehensive risk management understanding.
- Experience in building and maintaining valuable banking relationships.
- Knowledge of industry performance and structural financial analysis.
- Experience in credit writing, financial analysis, and report preparation for complex clients.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior management internally and externally.
