Role
This role reports to the Corporate Audit Section Manager as part of the HME Corporate Audit (CA) team.
The purpose of CA is to support the Honda Motor Europe (HME) C.O & President in improving Honda’s overall European business as well as the Africa Middle East (AME) business operation, by providing independent objective assurance of the adequacy of control and the management of risk within HME, its branches and subsidiary companies in the EAME region. It helps HME & AME to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls, and governance processes. The CA function aims to challenge and test current operational processes, champion best practice and be a catalyst for business improvement.
As a Corporate Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the pre- and post-audit processes. Pre-audit, this involves carrying out the required preparations, reviewing the “As Is” situation by evaluating various business function operations, in line with the audit timeframe and internal KPI’s. Post-audit, this involves making recommendations and timely follow-ups to meet the audit finding closure targets. In addition, active participation during on-site audits may be necessary. Your support will enable the CA team to focus on coaching, especially for the AME region.
Ideally, you will need to have a good level of business and commercial acumen to support the different steps in the Audit process.
The successful candidate will quickly become an integral member of this small team as the necessary skills and experience are developed.
This role may require travel within the region (EAME).
