As a senior audit manager in their successful and growing Reading office, this role focuses on corporate entities, including international and domestic companies, groups, and listed businesses, which constitute a large part of the client portfolio.

Role
- Perform audits from planning, fieldwork, and completion within the agreed budget, taking responsibility for ownership and completion of each audit.
- Manage on-site teams and assist in supervising and developing junior staff, providing training where appropriate, and ensuring work is allocated according to abilities.
- Review statutory financial statements, generally from management accounts.
- Research technical issues and provide solutions for review by Partners/Directors.
- Adhere to deadlines and notify the partner promptly of potential issues.
- Identify opportunities for other firm services to meet client needs.
- Manage work in progress and billing.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
- Experience with complex groups and liaising with component auditors is highly desirable.
Technical skills, experience & knowledge
- Provide practical, proactive business advice, referring more challenging issues to the partner.
- Thorough knowledge of business cycle controls and audit risks.
- Currently working as an experienced Manager (2-3 years) or Senior Manager in a top 20 UK firm.
Required Qualifications
- CCAB body membership, e.g., ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS, ICAI, AICPA.
