Corporate Associate - Legal 100 - Thames Valley

We are actively seeking an ambitious Corporate Associate (3 PQE+) to join a highly regarded Legal 100 firm based in the Thames Valley due to expansion in the team.

This is a Chambers-rated top-tier corporate practice which offers excellent exposure to an impressive array of both regional, city and internationalclients.

You can expect to assist on complex M&A; Private Equity and a diverse range of corporate matters from day one.

The successful individual will have a background in corporate law and be looking to step-up to a heavyweight national firm working on a stellar roster of blue-chip clients in the UK and internationally.

This position offers an exciting platform for career development as the successful individual will enjoy high visibility (both within and outside the firm), a key role in business development and full partner support.

Among the clients are multi-national corporations, public companies, professional partnerships, banks and financial institutions as well as private individuals, owner managed businesses and start-ups.

The positions offer the opportunity to work on a broad variety of matters.

You will have experience of and typically be involved in the following:

* M&A

* Private Equity / Venture Capital

* Capital markets listings / IPOs

* Public company takeovers

* JV's

* Group restructurings

* Corporate advisory matters

The ideal candidate will be well organised with a keen eye for detail, proactive and, most importantly, a team player.

This role would ideally suit an experienced Corporate Associate with 3 years’ plus PQE experience who is looking to grow their career at a leading national law firm where they will be supported and encouraged to play a leading role in advising large corporate clients (often international organisations), ambitious investee companies and high net worth individuals on M&A, early stage investments, reorganisations, shareholder arrangements, option schemes and other day-to-day corporate law matters.

Skills / Experience Required

You will have between 2 and 6 years' PQE and relevant corporate law experience gained with a recognised regional or London commercial firm.

A proven track record or keen interest in business development and client relationship management is highly desirable as is a commercial approach.

An excellent knowledge of transactional processes is required and this opportunityrequires excellent IT/keyboard skills, planning and organisational skills as well as a flexible and positive attitude to your work.
