Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Corporate Associate (1-4 PQE) for its Top 20 international firm with Scottish roots, based in Glasgow. You will join a highly regarded Corporate team handling high-value, cross-border transactions and advising domestic and international clients.

You’ll work on M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and broader corporate advisory matters, gaining exposure to international deals while benefiting from a supportive Glasgow culture.

Qualifications

• Scots or English & Welsh Qualified Solicitor with 1-4 PQE.
• Strong experience within a Corporate transactional practice.
• Experience across M&A, private equity, investments, joint ventures or corporate reorganisations.
• Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical, client-focused advice.
• Confident working with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively to complex transactions.
• Ambitious, collaborative and keen to continue developing your Corporate career.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside leading Corporate Lawyers on high-value, cross-border and strategically important transactions.
• Advise an impressive mix of domestic and international clients across M&A, PE and advisory matters.
• Develop and maintain direct client relationships within the Glasgow team and globally.
• Support senior lawyers and take ownership of workstreams to drive complex transactions forward.

The Role & The Work

Join a Top 20 international firm with Scottish roots and an established global reach and become a key part of a highly regarded Corporate team in Glasgow. The practice is recognised at the high level in the L500 and acts on some of the most significant and complex transactions in the market.

You’ll work alongside leading Corporate Lawyers on high-value, cross-border and strategically important transactions, advising an impressive mix of domestic and international clients. The work is varied by design, giving you exposure across M&A, private equity, joint ventures, investments, reorganisations and wider corporate advisory matters.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on matters that extend well beyond the Scottish market, while still benefiting from a close-knit and supportive Glasgow team. Your Experience
