The Underwriting team here at the MDU are expanding and are looking for a Corporate and Custom Accounts Manager. The postholder is responsible for leading and developing MDUSL’s Corporate and Custom Accounts (CCA) Team.

The relevant candidate will be instrumental in developing our corporate and custom accounts strategy, continuing to drive sales opportunities and our engagement with corporate bodies and whole time equivalent (WTE) schemes to recruit and retain them into membership of the MDU & DDU. Over time the role will evolve to working as part of a wider corporate solutions team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Executive and wider business stakeholders to establish and implement the business plan and strategy for CCA.
• Lead and develop the CCA team, inspiring high levels of performance to achieve pre-determined targets for recruitment, retention and renewal of CCA contracts on appropriate terms.
• Document and review (at least annually) end to end internal operational processes, including those relating to recruitment of new CCA members, and renewal of existing members.
• Ensure documentation is up to date and fit for purpose. Obtain sign off on changes to CCA products/benefits, including member guides and other member facing material.
• Devise sales plans to secure new CCA members, identifying new opportunities to maximise growth of CCA members in line with underwriting appetite.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Substantive successful sales experience, with strong strategic sales and account management competencies.
• The postholder will have detailed knowledge of both the healthcare market and the medical/dental indemnity market in the UK, especially as it relates to corporate SMEs.
• The postholder should demonstrate a strong interpersonal skills competency being comfortable in dealing with both staff and members at all levels.
• Extensive experience delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.
• The postholder should have a strong track record of setting, monitoring, and driving results against targets.
