The London Legacy Development Corporation is the organisation behind Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Formed in April 2012, the London Legacy Development Corporation’s purpose is to use the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the London 2012 Games and the creation of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to develop a dynamic new heart for east London, creating opportunities for local people and driving innovation and growth in London and the UK.
In this role you will be part of an exciting moment in the Park’s evolution. Over the next few years East Bank, our educational and cultural quarter fully opens, new and existing neighbourhoods will become more established, and new businesses and visitor attractions will be joining us on the Park. We’re looking for an experienced and proactive part-time Corporate Affairs and Communications Officer to help us tell the story of the Park, build stronger relationships with stakeholders and advance the interests of the community we serve.
In this role you will job-share with one officer and collaborate closely with another to help deliver communications and stakeholder strategies for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park working 3 days per week Wednesday to Friday. You will create work plans and produce engaging content for a range of internal and external engagement channels.
You will be responsible for identifying and developing compelling story ideas to proactively sell into media and will maintain accurate and up-to-date records including stakeholder and media lists. You will be part of a monthly rota with the other members of the team, handling on-call duties for media enquiries and crisis situations.
You will prepare corporate communications such as internal messages, letters and documents and be aware of new opportunities in the political and media landscape. You will support in providing briefings for visits and political appearances and identify opportunities to engage a range of stakeholders.

You will bring a solid understanding of local and national media and be able to translate complex political and organisational challenges into clear, accessible messaging. With strong knowledge of the political landscape, especially in London, you will know how to spot risks and opportunities and respond with agility. You are someone who thrives under pressure, can deliver to tight deadlines, and adapt quickly across a broad communications portfolio.
A natural self-starter, you collaborate well, advise and brief senior staff with confidence, and bring both accuracy and attention to detail to everything you do. Your experience spans writing, content production, media relations, and project support, all while embedding equity, diversity and inclusion into your work.
