We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Corporate Accountant to join our Finance team in our Jersey head office. Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Provide insightful analysis to support departmental heads in decision-making and planning.
- Contribute to the enhancement of management reporting through innovative tools and data visualization.
2. Regulatory & Compliance Reporting- Prepare regulatory submissions across key jurisdictions (e.g., Jersey FSB, UK FCA, Swiss, Singapore), ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- Monitor changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to reporting processes
3. Financial Statements & Audit Management- Assist with or lead the preparation of financial statements for multiple jurisdictions, including group consolidation.
- Liaise with external auditors, managing the audit process to ensure smooth and efficient completion.
4. Finance Operations- Oversee or contribute to core finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and cash management.
- Ensure payments are processed accurately, cash positions reconciled, and credit control functions performed effectively.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting- Support or lead the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing analysis of variances and recommendations to stakeholders.
6. Process Improvement & Innovation- Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance processes, leveraging modern tools and technologies.
- Stay informed on industry trends to drive efficiency and innovation within the finance function.
7. Project Work & Ad Hoc Tasks- Contribute to cross-functional projects such as system upgrades, process optimization, and implementation of new tools.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Finance.
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseCore Requirements:- Experience in financial services or asset management (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, or banking).
- Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and model financial data.
- Proficiency in finance systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS; familiarity with US GAAP or other standards (e.g., Singapore GAAP, Chinese GAAP) is a plus.

Educational & Professional Qualifications- Educated to degree (or equivalent) level or higher; and
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or Similar).
