The Company

There is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to provide support to a highly regarded healthcare organisation. You will be working in their head office based in Camberwell, close to public transport and on-site car parking nearby.

What does the role entail?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering end to end accounting support while overseeing the Accounts Payable Officer.

  • Manage and reconcile the companies' financial and statutory reports
  • Coordinate audit processes internally and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reporting
  • Work closely with the CFO & Finance Manager to ensure that all the external reporting deadlines are met and the reports are accurate and meet the standards
  • Prepare budgets, monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting
  • Oversee and support the processing of a high volume of invoices
  • Evaluate current internal procedures and recommend improvements
  • Review existing accounting systems and assist with new system implementation

What experience is required?

  • Proven experience as Corporate / Senior Financial Accountant / leadership role with a medium-large business environment
  • A degree in Finance / Accounting / Commerce with a CPA / CA qualification
  • Proven experience with audits and preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Xero experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills with strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
