Overview
Our specialist Corporate Charities division is looking for an experienced insurance professional to join their high performing team as an Account Manager. This is an opportunity for someone with experience dealing with large corporate premiums to carve out a niche and develop a successful career at Gallagher.
How you'll make an impact
- Maintain relationships with clients, assist with day-to-day enquiries, MTAs, and confirm cover arrangements.
- Produce a headline summary of changes and obtain claims listings; contribute to strategy discussions for our corporate charity clients.
- Produce PRQ documents & provide to Exec ahead of client meetings.
- Attend client meetings as required and action points arising from meetings as requested by Exec.
- Ensure all details of calls, correspondence, and risk details updates are uploaded to Acturis.
- Prepare market presentations and broker all risks to market including e-trade & schemes.
- Negotiate terms both in respect of price and policy coverage.
- Compare cover options, assess suitability, and build quotations and reports as appropriate.
- Instruct insurers in good time, check & issue policy documentation including Certificates.
- Invoice, arrange finance, process card payments.
- Lapse policies, RFQs, and clients on Acturis on expiry/cancellation.
- Produce Summary of Insurance and provide to Exec to issue.
- Diary all outstanding matters and follow up as appropriate.
- Manage all account queries, highlighting any concerns to line managers on time.
- Raise any complaints, errors, or omissions with management on discovery to protect Gallagher’s reputation.
- Maintain and update knowledge of insurance products, services, and markets as developments occur.
- Build and maintain a network of contacts in both internal and external markets.
- Provide training and/or coaching for less experienced colleagues.
About You
- Good understanding of insurance principles and the coverage, terms, and conditions of transacted risk types.
- Experience dealing with large corporate risks.
- Risk aware with strong planning and analytical skills, along with accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to ask relevant questions to identify client needs.
- Adept at negotiating to achieve the desired result.
- Calm and positive when faced with challenges.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently whilst also being a team player.
- Ability to plan and organise, multi-tasking to support several lines of enquiry within a regulated, measurable framework to achieve SLA’s.
- Professional and empathetic with internal and external clients, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
- Proficiency in using MS Office, Acturis, E-trade platforms, and Gallagher applications.
- Aligned with Gallagher Values and Behaviours.
- Willingness to achieve Cert CII as minimum and work towards ACII.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
