Qualifications

Overview

Gallagher’s Llantrisant Office is seeking an experienced Corporate Account Handler to join their established and growing corporate team. As a Corporate Account Handler, you will provide quality service to clients, optimize retention, and support growth where appropriate. This role is within Gallagher's Retail Broking Division, which offers tailored business insurance, risk management, and risk transfer solutions for large enterprises and multinationals.

Reporting to the Commercial Broking Team Leader, you will collaborate with experienced Account Executives to deliver outstanding service. We consider candidates based in Llantrisant or Bristol, working from the local office on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities
  1. Create documents for new customers, mid-term adjustments, and renewals.
  2. Accurately record and enter customer details into the system to ensure data integrity.
  3. Obtain renewal terms, exploring options to provide the best solutions.
  4. Prepare renewal closings from meeting minutes and ensure cover is bound by renewal date.
  5. Manage insurer and customer queries regarding policies.
  6. Confirm cover with insurers, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation.
  7. Handle account queries and credit control matters, highlighting concerns.
  8. Apply legal and regulatory policies related to internal policies and insurance contracts.
About You
  • Experience as an Account Handler within the commercial insurance market is essential.
  • Knowledge of Property, Casualty, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Motor Trade/Fleet lines of business.
  • Experience handling corporate clients is advantageous.
  • Risk-aware, customer-centric, focused on optimal outcomes.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, ACII) is a plus.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with intermediate insurance industry knowledge.
  • Process-driven, deadline-focused, proactive, with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; Acturis experience is beneficial.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
