Job Summary

With a well-deserved reputation for promoting from within, opportunities to join the Leeds office of this global broker in such a senior position are few and far between. The need has arisen for an Account Director to join the team in a senior capacity.

Responsibilities
  1. Inherit and manage a longstanding portfolio of corporate clients generating up to circa £1M income.
  2. Ensure clients’ insurance programmes reflect their appetite for risk and provide solutions to mitigate exposures.
  3. Provide support to less-experienced colleagues, including helping Corporate Account Executives with programme design and attending renewal meetings.
  4. Work closely with the Branch MD to influence the future direction of the branch and manage insurer relations.
  5. Build rapport with clients, typically dealing directly with company secretaries and FD’s.
  6. Develop an understanding of the broker’s full suite of products to maximize revenue.
Qualifications

We are open to talented candidates from either a corporate or ‘large’ commercial insurance broking background. You must be au fait with all common commercial lines.

You should be an articulate and polished communicator with strong stakeholder management skills, and able to build rapport with clients that have a sophisticated approach to managing risk. You must also be a superb ‘internal networker’.
