Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a CAD / BIM Technician for a site-based role in Cornwall. The position offers a permanent contract with a salary of £30,000–£40,000 per annum and a 37.5 hour week.

BPSS security clearance is required, with work progressing from design through to construction within a multidisciplinary engineering team. You will produce precise 2D drawings and coordinated 3D BIM models for electrical and building services systems, using AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Experience producing 2D drawings and coordinated 3D BIM models.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Experience as a Revit, BIM or MEP technician is required.
• Working within engineering/construction disciplines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for electrical and building services.
• Coordinate models across electrical, mechanical, structural and civil disciplines.
• Carry out model reviews and clash detection using BIM processes.
• Ensure drawings meet project standards, specifications and industry requirements.
• Support engineers and project teams from design through construction.
• Maintain accurate project information and timely delivery of drawings and models.
• Assist with continuous improvement of CAD, BIM and digital processes.
• Manage technical information throughout the project lifecycle.
