Job Description

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Class 2 drivers to join our successful team at a well-known Distribution Centre based out of Hemel Hempstead. These roles will appeal to individuals who enjoy working in a team to deliver exceptional service.

£43,030 per annum, Monday – Friday, 50 hours per week.

Hourly rate - £16.55 per hour

No bank holiday working required.

Start times between 05:00 - 06:00, flexibility is required.

Due to the nature of the work, heavy lifting is required. It is therefore essential that the successful applicant is capable of performing this work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive company vehicles and operate company equipment safely and properly in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
• Assist the loading operations in moving vehicles onto bays.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times and take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of customers’ products.
• You will be carrying out 5 – 20 drops per day.
• Deliver demountable boxes and paperwork to out-bases for day deliveries.
• Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to operation, reporting any defects immediately.
• Report to the traffic office for a full debrief upon return to base and report any exceptions promptly.
• This role requires self-management and initiative in problem-solving.
• Adhere to safe working practices to ensure safety for yourself and others at all times.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Full Category 2 Driving Licence; Class 1 licence would also be advantageous.
• DCPC Qualification card and proof of current training hours.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of driving legislation.
• Enthusiasm and reliability.
