Job description

Smile education are recruiting for a core subjects teacher with SEN experience to work in an Alternative provision school near the solihull area. The role would be working at a very small school with a tight knit staff team and SLT support.

The role would be long term and full time with the option of turning permanent after the academic year is finished.

The responsibilities of the Core subject teacher role:

  • Plan and deliver captivating core subject lessons to students in line with the curriculum
  • Focus on creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that helps student engagement and critical thinking
  • assess and evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback and nurturing a love for learning will be central to your role.
  • Be able to structure lesson plans for different level of student needs

To apply for this core subject teacher role, you will need the following:
  • A bachelor’s degree in education, English or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or QTS.
  • Proficiency in the secondary curriculum and effective instructional techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and motivating students to excel.
  • Have experience or the desire to work within an SEN setting.
