Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency is seeking a part-time GCSE Tutor for Maths, English, and Science support. This role involves one-to-one lessons tailored to SEN students, requiring a minimum of one year of teaching experience. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills and the ability to adapt lessons to students' needs. The position offers flexibility with 5-30 hours per week, both in-person and online.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths, English or Science.
• Experience working with learners with SEN in a 1:1 or small group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Job Title: GCSE Tutor - GCSE Maths, English & Science Support
Location: Uxbridge
Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 5-30 hours per week
Job Type: Part-Time Temporary In-Person and Online

You'll be supporting one student at a time with lessons split evenly between Maths, English and Science. The student benefits from routine, patience, and creative, adaptive teaching strategies that boost both confidence and academic outcomes. If you are more experience in one subject- you will only be focusing on that subject.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths, English or Science.

Desirable Qualifications:

• PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience with students who have Autism, ADHD or SEMH needs.
