Overview

CS 32590
Core Service Engineer (Pumps)

Site Based (commutable to Chichester) • £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Are you a mechanically minded engineer who loves solving problems, working hands-on with complex systems, and seeing the results of your expertise in action? Our client are looking for a Core Service Engineer who's ready to take on challenging site work across the UK and overseas, while also playing a key role in their Chichester workshop when not out in the field. This is not just another "maintenance job." It's a role where your skills make a measurable difference - ensuring critical petrochemical systems stay safe, reliable, and efficient.

What You'll Love This Role
  • Variety & Adventure - No two days are the same. One week you're servicing petrochemical systems on-site, the next you're building and testing equipment in their workshop.
  • Travel Opportunities - Work across the UK and internationally, representing a trusted specialist in the industry.
  • Reward for Your Effort - Standard 37.5-hour week, with paid overtime when site jobs run long.
  • Professional Growth - Get hands-on training (MEWP, PASMA, IPAF and more) and expand your expertise in hazardous area compliance.
  • Supportive Team - Join a skilled, approachable crew that values initiative, safety, and craftsmanship.
Your Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on petrochemical systems.
  • Provide remote technical support and onsite diagnostics.
  • Build, service, and function-test systems in their Chichester workshop.
  • Prepare reports, risk assessments, and job documentation.
  • Support scheduling and admin processes to keep projects running smoothly.
What We're Looking For
  • A mechanically biased engineer with service experience on pumps (Essential).
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid IT and admin skills (reports, Microsoft apps, etc.).
  • Safety-first mindset, with hazardous area training (preferred).
  • A valid driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
  • (Don't worry if you don't tick every box - training is provided where needed.)
The Essentials
  • Location: site based, but commutable to Chichester workshop (with regular UK & overseas travel)
  • Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:00, 1 hr break)
  • Pay: Competitive + overtime rates + training
