The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a full-time role within the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine. This position enables contributions to livestock hologenomics research, focusing on quantitative genomics and metagenomics with an aspiration for sustainable cattle development. Candidates are expected to have strong expertise in animal genetics and the capacity for both independent and collaborative work within an innovative research environment.
Grade UE07: £40,497 - £48,149 per annum

Full-time: 35 hours per week
Fixed-term: to 31 March 2028
The Opportunity:
This post offers the opportunity to contribute to shape the research direction of a newly established research group. It will allow you to pursue your research interests in the areas of livestock hologenomics, including quantitative genomics, metagenomics and epigenetics, with focus on a more sustainable cattle. You will work in close collaboration with the group’s principal investigator to manage the research group and deliver research outcomes.
