British Transport Police in Glasgow invites applications for a part-time Researcher to join the Coordinated Research and Evaluation Unit. You will research, evaluate and disseminate intelligence to support strategic and operational decision-making.

British Transport Police have an opportunity for a Researcher to join the Coordinated Research and Evaluation (CoRE) Unit. As a CoRE Researcher with BTP, you will provide high-quality research and intelligence development to support effective decision-making across the Force.
The role involves researching, assessing and evaluating information from a wide range of sources to produce intelligence products at strategic, tactical and operational levels. You will also manage all intelligence report evaluations for the Force—assessing, inputting, developing and disseminating intelligence in line with relevant legislation.
Additionally, you will handle all research requests from internal and external customers, including live-time and urgent enquiries requiring immediate action.
The post holder will be required to attend training courses, which may be away from home location.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Management and SC Clearance Vetting (5 years minimum UK residency required), including a full background and financial disclosure. For more information and Top Tips, please see attached document.
