Core Faults and Thermal Hydraulic Performance Manager

Join to apply for the Core Faults and Thermal Hydraulic Performance Manager role at Rolls-Royce SMR.

This is a full-time or part-time position based in the UK, with locations in Derby, Manchester, and Warrington. The salary range is £57,600 - £75,600, with a closing date of 28/05/2025.

Role Overview

The Manager for Core Faults and Thermal Hydraulic Performance is responsible for the development of the reactor core design, including:

  • Analysis of core thermal hydraulics and development of methods (e.g., DNBR using VIPRE)
  • Analysis of core fault sequences and development of methods (e.g., Rod ejection accidents using S5k)
  • Coordination across disciplines such as Reactor Physics and Thermal Hydraulics

The role involves technical and program leadership of large teams, ensuring the validity of methods, compliance with safety and environment standards, and development of team capabilities. The candidate should have a proven record in delivering complex programs and demonstrating leadership within engineering.
