CONMED is a global medical technology company that specializes in the development and manufacturing of surgical devices and equipment. Serves as a member of a busy and results-oriented Marketing Communications Department. Responsible for development, coordination and delivery of communications to internal and external audiences, to promote company products and services, educate internal and external customers and reinforce the company's mission and brand identity. Works closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, and the entire Marketing team to provide editorial and copywriting services for Department projects with special emphasis on brochures, websites, social media, articles, promotions, email blasts and educational materials.

This is a remote opportunity for people living in the UK.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Write copy for a variety of media including social, print, video, and online
  2. Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
  3. Collaborate with creative, product, marketing, and legal to assess project needs and help with messaging
  4. Drive brand consistency across all company communications
  5. Implement brand guidelines
  6. Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
  7. See projects through the whole creative lifecycle, from inception to deployment

Other duties:

  • Collaborating with internal and external clients to develop creative ideas and promotional strategies and working with graphic designers to integrate written message with creative design elements.
  • Assist with project management and approval process and business partner engagement
  • Planning, researching and writing copy for the company website and microsites.
  • Researching and fact-checking, including performing online searches and seeking assistance of subject matter experts.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of copywriting experience
  • High level of customer service
  • Ability to work across multiple departments
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Ability to adapt a flexible workstyle to meet changing assignments
