– Right to work within the UK

We are recruiting social workers to join our Leaving Care Team (Supporting Independence Team) which sits in our permanency hub, working with our looked after children across all our localities within Cheshire West and Chester. The role will involve working with young people aged 15 to 25 who are looked after by the local authority. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with experience of assessment and pathway planning with looked after children and working with teenagers and young adults. Knowledge of Dols and unaccompanied asylum seeking children would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for candidates who are at least 2 years post qualified and have experience and proven performance in quality case work, and ability to work openly and honestly with our children, families and partner agencies.

We offer excellent supervision and manageable caseloads, working alongside stable teams of experienced social workers and permanent established Team Managers. Free parking in all our localities, access to all in house training and development to support CPD.

It would be beneficial if the candidate lives within a reasonable distance from Cheshire West, as whilst we do work in a hybrid style, there is an expectation of regular working from our office bases. Where possible, please can the CV indicate where the candidate resides. Unfortunately, we are not able to support candidates with costs of accommodation or travel to office bases.

We have increased our rate up to £40 per hour. Newly qualified social workers are not suitable for these posts.
