Realise Training is seeking an Apprentice Educator at Playday Nursey Chiswick to work as part of a team while studying toward a Level 3 Childcare qualification.

You will support the well-being and learning of children aged 0–5, assist with activity planning, observe and record progress, supervise meals, and follow all safeguarding policies; on-the-job training is provided with 20% off-the-job learning incorporated by Realise.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 0-5 preferred but not essential.
• English GCSE Grade 4 Desired
• Training to be Provided: you will work toward the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, delivered by Realise.

Responsabilités

• Work within the nursery ethos to provide a warm, welcoming environment for children.
• Assist with planning and preparation of activities to meet individual needs and liaise with parents.
• Assist in providing learning experiences that build confidence and independence.
• Record observations, assessments and progress to inform planning.
• Supervise meals and mealtimes and assist with food preparation for babies where appropriate.
• Adhere to Allergies/Sleep policies and safeguard children with allergies.
• Promote inclusion and equality policies; be a reliable team member with flexible working hours.
• Support the team as directed by the Nursery Manager and company directors.

As an Apprentice Educator at Playday Nursey Chiswick you will work as a team to help support the nursery as it grows into a truly fascinating setting for our children, whilst studying towards a Level 3 Childcare qualification.

During your apprenticeship duties will include;

• To work within the ethos of our Nurseries and provide a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment, where children feel secure.
• With the guidance of the Senior and Qualified practitioners to ensure the well-being, care of all the children and support their access to learning (including those with additional needs).
• To assist with the planning and preparation of activities, to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
• To assist in providing learning experiences that challenge and enable children to grow in confidence and independence within a stimulating environment.
• To nurture positive relationships and role modelling positive behaviour with children ensuring their emotional well-being to promote their confidence and self-esteem.
• To assist in the recording of observation, assessment, monitoring, and record keeping of children’s learning and development using a variety of methods and to inform planning.
• Supervisions of meals and mealtimes, and where appropriate additional preparation of food/bottles for babies to ensure safer eating.
• To adhere at all times to the Allergies and Allergic Reactions Policy as well as the Sleep Policy to safeguard children with allergies and whilst sleeping.
• To understand and promote inclusion and equality policies and procedures
• To be a reliable member of the team, working co-operatively and with flexibility.
• To work flexible hours as requested by the Manager.
• Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager and The Company Directors

Working Week

40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, shifts to be confirmed

Qualifications Required

Experience with children aged 0-5 years preferred but not essential.

English GCSE Grade 4 Desired

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
