Qualifications

  • Experience of driving Telescopic Handlers or Forklift Trucks is advantageous.

Job Role

As a Depot Operative at Day Group Ltd, you will be a key part of a fast-paced, safety-driven team, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our Beaconsfield production site. Working within a close-knit group, you will ensure materials are handled, processed, and moved safely and effectively, contributing to the delivery of high-quality service across the business.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, values teamwork, and understands the importance of keeping the site safe, clean, and productive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the bagging plant in line with production schedules and safety standards
  • Safely move and manage large quantities of aggregates within bays and across the depot using heavy machinery
  • Provide support to other Depot Operatives as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintain a clean and orderly site, taking shared responsibility for health, safety, and housekeeping

Person Specification

  • Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team in a busy environment
  • A flexible and responsible approach to work, with a keen eye for safety and detail
  • Experience of driving Telescopic Handlers or Forklift Trucks is advantageous (training can be provided for the right candidate)

Working hours/times

45 hours, Monday – Friday, with a 1-hour break for lunch (unpaid)

Package

Annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
