Please be aware this is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.

Wrexham County Borough Council Adult Social Care is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for Adults Single Point of Access (SPOA), a joint team with Early Response. The Adults SPOA serves as the front door to Adult Social Care, responsible for screening and responding to all referrals, determining next steps, signposting, and coordinating Information, Advice, and Assistance where possible. The team works collaboratively and person-centred, requiring an experienced social worker who shares these values and principles.

This is a hybrid role based in Crown Buildings, Wrexham, requiring presence in the office 3 days a week, with the necessary technology and equipment for home working the rest of the week. Applicants must be able to meet these requirements and respond from home if an emergency occurs and office presence is needed.

Essential Criteria:
  1. Degree in Social Work
  2. SWE Registration
  3. Right to work within the UK

Minimum Requirements:
  • A professional qualification in social work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced DBS/Update service
  • References for the last 5 years of employment
