Job description

Do you excel in environments that demand resilience, decisiveness, speed, and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure? Do you have an expert grasp of written English, a keen eye for detail, and relish the idea of working in a fast-moving team producing a wide range of content for a global audience?

As a copy editor in the Marketing and Digital department, you will help Games Workshop communicate with customers through newsletters, social media posts, store product descriptions, video scripts, Warhammer Community articles, and more. Your primary focus will be ensuring that every published word meets the highest standard of English. Day-to-day you will be working with a team of writers and editors to execute marketing briefs, giving feedback to writers to maintain rigorous standards across the team’s output, upholding Games Workshop’s style guides, and helping the team deliver immaculate copy in changing situations where an edit on new words may be needed at a moment’s notice!

The successful candidate will have professional experience in copy editing and demonstrate strong prioritisation and organisation skills to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively while remaining flexible and responsive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Familiarity with Games Workshop’s products and universes is also required.

If you’re excited to contribute your expertise and passion to our team, apply now to help us maintain our high standards and deliver world-class content to a global audience.

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets), and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!

Closing Date: Applications must be received by midnight, UK time, on Monday 6th January 2025.
