The Copy Director will oversee and be responsible for Tatler’s copy desk and its sub-editing workflow, across all of the magazine’s platforms, including its supplements. They will have a natural creative flair for coming up with Tatler’s trademark witty headlines, brilliant sells and informative captions. They will possess an intimate understanding of the Tatler world, and be able to transform edited copy into impeccably crafted Tatler reads. The successful candidate will be in charge of confidently leading the copy desk and will possess superb organisational skills. They will ensure that the entire copy team completes its tasks to the highest standard, within our allocated production deadlines. The Copy Director will also instil a sense of adaptability and flexibility amongst team members, and will play a pivotal role in helping the desk adapt as Tatler’s editorial excellence grows and develops. A calm, collected and methodical approach to dealing with work in a fast-paced environment is a must, as is previous experience as a senior copy editor. Proven team-management skills are essential.
