Job summary

Capita is recruiting to support the Selborne Transformational Training programme, delivering hands-on pipefitting and brazing instruction for Royal Navy engineers at HMS Sultan, Portsmouth. You will mentor trainees, update training materials, and help modernise delivery while maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships.

Based in Portsmouth, this full-time role (37.5h/wk) is term-time only and requires eligibility for UK security clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in an Engineering discipline.
• Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
• Competent practical Coppersmith/Pipefitter hand skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide training on how to fit pipework on ships from a drawing (Fit from design).
• Teaching Brazing techniques.
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
